Our week at ECHA

This week, our Lab Consultants were on the road, completing two UK site visits to test for potential microbiological contamination and corrosion.

Site surveys and routine monitoring play a critical role in identifying deleterious microorganisms in fuel and oil systems before issues develop. This proactive approach helps prevent costly problems such as fuel spoilage caused by bacteria and fungi, as well as microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) driven by Sulphate Reducing Bacteria (SRB).

Using MicrobMonitor®2 and SigTests® Sig Sulphide®, our team tested multiple fuel tanks on site and returned samples to our fully equipped, professionally staffed microbiology laboratory for further analysis.

At ECHA, we pride ourselves in a value-added approach to laboratory analysis—delivering clear, easy-to-understand reports that explain result significance and recommend appropriate next steps. We ensure a prompt turnaround and can also provide interim results for urgent requirements.
