ECHA appoints Parker Kittiwake as Water Test Distributor

We are delighted to announce Parker Kittiwake as the Distributor of our HPC Water Test to the Marine Sector.

Having identified a growing demand for reliable, on-board water testing, ECHA has launched its NEW Water Test Kit, through Parker Kittiwake for the Marine sector. The HPC (Heterotrophic Plate Count) Water Test Kit provides quantitative detection of microbes in Potable, Hot and Recreational (such as Swimming Pool and Spa) Waters (you can find out more about ECHA’s test here).  The test provides a simple and safe solution, which can be incorporated as part of a ships’ Fresh Water Safety Plan to confirm effectiveness of routine water disinfection and ensure the cleanliness of water on-board.

While this product is not limited to use in the marine sector, ECHA has identified this market as a key area of demand for the test kit, on account of the ILO Maritime Labour Convention which, since ratification in 2013, mandates provision of acceptable working conditions for seafarers, including recommendations for the quality of water.
