Detection and remediation of microbial spoilage and corrosion in aviation kerosine – from refinery to wing

This paper reviews the rising incidence of microbial fouling and spoilage in aviation kerosene, as well as the associated corrosion of storage tanks and distribution systems. It evaluates the reasons behind this trend and examines current anti-microbial strategies.
